Wi-Fi wireless networks are very popular in today's workplaces and home environments. Most access points and nodes do not come enabled with any default security. Without implementing appropriate security protections, wireless networks can be successfully penetrated and attacked. Windows Vista comes with over a dozen wireless security improvements. WPA2/802.11i and 802.1X authentication are the strongest protection choices available for Windows and Wi-Fi networks.
