What Types of Benchmarks Are There?

We have already referenced microbenchmarks, application benchmarks, and complex workload benchmarks. In this section, we examine a few benchmarks in each of these classes and give a brief overview of how the benchmarks might be used to help evaluate your own workload characteristics.
