Using Web Templates

If you intend to use PowerPoint to create Web pages, you might want to take advantage of PowerPoint's specially designed Internet templates. The AutoContent Wizard lets you add hyperlinks between the slides in your presentation or hyperlinks to your e-mail address. The Group Home Page template helps you create a customized home page for your corporate or personal Web site.

Create a Web Presentation with the AutoContent Wizard

Click the File menu, and then click New.

In the New Presentation task pane, click From AutoContent Wizard.

Click Next to continue.

Click the button with the type of presentation you want.

Click a presentation, and then click Next to continue.

Click the Web Presentation option to specify how the presentation will be used, and then click Next to continue.

Enter the presentation title and any footer information, and then click Next to continue.

Click Finish.

Create a Home Page

Click the File menu, and then click New.

In the New Presentation task pane, click From AutoContent Wizard.

Click Next to continue.

Click the All button, click Group Home Page, and then click Next to continue.

Click the Web Presentation option to specify how the presentation will be used, and then click Next to continue.

Enter the presentation title and any footer information, and then click Next to continue.

Click Finish.

Edit the presentation.

Click the File menu, click Save As Web Page, specify a filename and location, and then click Save.
