In Windows Server 2003, Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) enables administrators to set up and configure network services on wide area networks (WANs) and local area networks (LANs). RRAS can also be configured to provide services for virtual private networks (VPNs) and Network Address Translation (NAT). Before you take a look at the service itself, you should review basic routing and the routing tables of a local system.
