AppendixA.Installer Troubleshooting

Appendix A. Installer Troubleshooting

In general, the Fedora Core 4 installer is a reasonably foolproof tool, which does a good job of installing Linux. However, to enjoy the benefits it provides, you must first be able to start it. This appendix deals with two subjects related to the Fedora Core 4 installer:

  • The installer's failure to find hard drive or CD-ROM drive devices to install to or from, respectively

  • The use of the text-based installer when your graphics hardware isn't supported by the default installer
