Checking System Requirements

Part of the minimum system requirements of Digital Performer 4 is that you are running Mac OS X version 10.2 or higher. You can quickly check what version you have installed on your computer by using the Apple menu. Depending on the type of tasks you'll be performing, Digital Performer can be quite taxing on the resources of your computer. Your computer's RAM (Random Access Memory) partially controls how quickly software can process information on your computer. DP4 requires a minimum of 128MB of RAM for MIDI sequencing and 256MB for audio recording, but the manufacturer of DP4 recommends 512MB or more. The more RAM your computer has, the faster it will be able to process your recordings.

If you are running a version of OS X lower than 10.2, you must purchase an upgrade, which is available through Apple at http://www.apple.com.
