Sampling frequency is measured in hertz (Hz) and kilohertz (kHz). The higher the Hz the better the sound. Frequencies and bit rates play roles in your sound file size , as well as the length of the sound and whether it is stereo or mono. Flash MX supports three main import sound formats: WAV, AIFF, and MP3. Once a sound has been imported into your document, it can be placed into a Timeline. A sound file doesn't always have to be placed on a Timeline. It can also be linked to a Timeline through ActionScript. Use the sound object when you need more control over the sound.
