Configuring Paging on a JMS Server

The following steps describe how to configure paging on an existing JMS server. Steps 26 should be performed on each JMS server in the domain.

  1. In the left pane of the Administration console click the JMS Servers node.

  2. In the right pane, click the link for the server on which you wish to configure paging.

  3. Select the Paging Store that you configured to store list messages from the Paging Store list box on the General tab. Click "Apply."

  4. Click on the Thresholds and Quotas tab. Follow the instructions below to configure bytes paging.

    1. Click the Bytes Paging Enabled check box.

    2. Specify a threshold value (in bytes) above which bytes paging will start on this server in the Bytes Threshold High box.

    3. Specify a threshold value (in bytes) below which bytes paging will stop on this server in the Bytes Threshold Low box.

  5. Also on the Thresholds and Quotas tab, follow the instructions below to configure messages paging:

    1. Click the Messages Paging Enabled check box.

    2. Specify a threshold value above which mesages paging will start on this server in the Messages Threshold High box.

    3. Specify a threshold value below which messages paging will stop on this server in the Messages Threshold Low box.

  6. When you are satisfied that the values you have entered are correct, click "Apply."

  7. When the server or servers are configured for paging, you should either:

    1. Reboot WebLogic server. This will activate paging and should be done in the case where you are not configuring a JMS server's destinations for paging.

    or

    1. Configure paging on a JMS template. This should be done in the case where you are configuring a server's destinations for paging.
