7.2. Create a Report Model

Once the data source, the next step is to create the report model. Follow these steps:

1. Click on the Adventure Works data source in the Report Manager Home pagethis opens its management page.

2. Click on the Generate Model button to open a page used to generate a new model.

3. Complete the form as shown in the following figure.

4. Press the OK button at the bottom of the page to create the new model. Generating the model might take a few minutes. The property page for the model will be displayed once the model is built.

5. Return to Report Manager Home page. The new model named Adventure Works Model was created as shown in the following figure.
