There are several things you can do in the Paint window that you can't do in the Vector Shape window: You can't hide the tool palette, you can't use rulers, and you can't drag a cast member directly to the Stage. Otherwise, if you're comfortable with the basic operations of the Paint window, you'll be at home in the Vector Shape window as well. To open the Vector Shape window:
