Yesterday you learned all about databases when to use them, how to build them, and best of all, how to access their data from ASP.NET Web pages. However, yesterday's lesson was only a very brief overview of this process. Today, you'll examine using databases with ASP.NET in much greater detail.

You'll also take a look at data binding and the server controls that were skipped over on Day 6, "Learning More About Web Forms." These additional features make ASP.NET very well suited for database-driven applications.
