Now that you can view the Full Screen mode for a presentation, you can alter how the slideshow is viewed . The default background is black for the slides. If you are looking for a punch of color , select a colored background. Make sure it looks good with all the slides, though. Set the slides to automatically advance, and set the time between slides. This is perfect if you are speaking along with the slideshow. Practice and see how long your explanation runs, and have the automatic advance follow your time.

1.
Change Background Color

From the Edit menu, select the Preferences command. In the Preferences dialog box, select Full Screen from the list of options along the left side. Click the black Background Color swatch, and then select either a preset color or the Other swatch to activate the Colors dialog box. In the Colors dialog box, select a new color and click the OK button.

2.
Set Navigation Preferences

If you want your presentation to automatically advance, select the Advance Every _ Seconds check box. Enter the amount of time you want each slide to stay onscreen. If you want the presentation to continually run, select the Loop After Last Page check box. If you want onscreen navigation buttons , select the Show Navigation Bar check box.

If you want the Esc key to enable you to exit your presentation, check the Escape Key Exits box. Another option is to set that the left-click of your mouse will advance the slide presentation forward and that a right-click will advance the presentation backward.

TIP

If you are speaking along with the presentation, you might want to chose the left-click/right-click navigation option in the Full Screen Preferences window. With this option selected and a wireless mouse, you can advance slides from just about anywhere in the room (depending on the size of the room, of course).

3.
View the Presentation

Click the OK button to close the Preferences dialog box. To view the presentation in full screen mode, select the Full Screen command from either the View or Window menu, or click the Full Screen View toggle icon in the lower-left corner and advance through your slides to see your presentation with the new settings. To exit full screen mode and return to the regular viewing mode, press Esc .
