4.14 Marketing Rollout Schedule (MRS)

The MRS is a schedule determined by the marketing team. It is used for indicating the timeline for rolling out product announcement information associated with the product. This schedule is used by the project team to update project indicators regarding deliverables and release timing. Once the marketing team has a firm, committed date, it is the responsibility of the rest of the Core Team to ensure that this date is met. It is ill-advised to have dates publicized by Marketing that subsequently cannot be met by the project team (for any reason, because it causes the organization to appear to be out of touch with reality). Equally importantly, the marketing team must understand project schedules and timings to ensure the right date is publicized.
