China Association of International Trade

Who are we?

Established in Beijing in July 1981, China Association of International Trade (CAIT) is the first national research organisation in the field of international trade in the wake of China's opening up and economic reform. Under the direct leadership of the Ministry of International Trade and Economic Cooperation, CAIT's mission is to research and explore solutions, both in terms of theory and practice, to issues regarding China's development of foreign trade and economic cooperation. CAIT has members all over China. They include both business entities and research organisations. CAIT has a pool of top-level well-known experts, government officials, scholars, entrepreneurs and ex-diplomats on its directorate.

What do we do?

In addition to its professional research oriented towards filling gaps between trade and investment theories and practices, CAIT is committed to studying issues that have important implications for China's trade and investment policies. CAIT also undertakes other activities involving both its member and non-member organisations, such as the organisation of various kinds of workshops, seminars and training courses, market research and consulting, international academic exchanges, provision of information and research findings for governments and enterprises , the publication of magazines and books and business referral services.

How can we help you?

CAIT has an extensive network of members and good working relationships with both government at all levels and the business community at large in China. We can help you in a number of different ways. We can be a point of contact for anything where you think you would need someone to help. Speak to us about what help you need and we will come up with a solution.
