Adding External Sources at Mix Time

Remember, the Input Mixer is also available at mix time! If you have external effects or MIDI- sequenced sound modules you may choose to simply add these sounds to your mix in real time rather than use tracks for them.

Recall from our discussion of the channel strip that the Input Mixer and Track Mixer are virtually identical in layout and operation. Also recall the dynamics limitation: If any Track Mixer channel requires both compression and expansion, no dynamics will be available for the Input Mixer.

Input Mixer parameters may be Automixed just like Track Mixer parameters.
