TIP 188: Highlighting Actions

To get a quick idea of where Actions are being used on your page, employ GoLive's ability to highlight Actions. Highlighting is an easy way to get an overview of how many Actions you're using and where they're located on the page. Select one of the following two methods to invoke highlighting:

  • Open the View palette to the Highlight section, click the Special button, and then choose JavaScript Actions (Figure 188a). Click Clear to turn off the highlighting.

  • Open the Actions palette and then choose Highlight Rollovers & Actions from the flyout menu (Figure 188b). This command is a toggle, so you'll need to select it again to turn the highlighting off.

Deleting Actions

You could locate and delete each Action by hand, but that would take a long time on a complex page. Instead, just choose Delete All Actions in the flyout menu of the Actions palette.
