Overview

This chapter discusses methods and processes of collecting business transaction data from a TMTP Version 5.2 relational database for a Tivoli Enterprise Data Warehouse and performing analysis and presentation of data from a business point of view.

In this chapter, we introduce a new feature of the IBM Tivoli Monitoring for Transaction Performance Version 5.2 warehouse enablement pack (ETL2), and show how to create business reports by using the Tivoli Enterprise Data Warehouse report interface and other OLAP tools.

This chapter provides discussions regarding the following:

• TEDW methods and process

• Configuration and collection of historical data

• Sample e-business transaction and availability report by the TEDW Report Interface
