Master Project Tasks

Your Master Project task for this lesson requires you to work in the Timeline to extend the project. Your goal is to extend the project to a duration of 25 seconds. How? Good question. In the real world, if a client asks you to make a project longer, you don't ask howyou just come up with a creative way to make it happen. In this case, I left a few bread crumbs in the form of markers in the Timeline for you to follow in the 08 Master Project finished project.

Now that you're familiar with the Timeline, your goal is to compare the 08 Master Project finished project with your Master Project file and make the appropriate changes. Or, if you're up for the challenge, you can simply watch the 08 MP finished.mov file and try to emulate it without seeing the Timeline. You can also devise your own project enhancements to lengthen the project. Whatever you come up with, the overall goal is to make the project a total of 25 seconds long, without cheating. Cheating? That would be simply extending the titles to elongate the project.

Let's start by opening your Master Project in the My Motion Projects folder. If you didn't complete the Master Project tasks in the previous lesson, you can open 08 Master Project start in the Master_Project folder.

1.	Open your Master Project or the 08 Master Project start project. NOTE If a window opens asking for a missing font, click Cancel to open the project without the missing font.
2.	In the File Browser, navigate to the Master_Project folder in your MOTION_INTRO Book Files folder. Double-click the Master_Project folder to open it in the File Browser.
3.	Select the 08 MP finished.mov file in the File Browser to preview the finished Master Project tasks. Now it's your turn to extend the Master Project. Don't forget: If you need a little help, open the 08 Master Project finished project and analyze the changes in the Timeline.
