Making Adjustments to the San Francisco Scene

Unfortunately, once we apply the Green Screen Key and adjust it to remove the green background, the clip appears to have a slightly purple tint to it, especially in the actor's hair. We'll need to remove this, which we'll do using the Non Red Key.

Find and Apply the Non Red Key

If it's not already the current view, click the Effects and Transitions button in the Media panel, to switch to the Effects and Transitions view.

Type red in the text field.

Select the Non Red Key effect from the Keying effects in the Video Effects list and drag and drop it onto the SF_reporter.avi clip on the Video 2 track.

In the Properties panel, click the triangle next to Non Red Key to view the effect's controls.

From the Defringing drop down, select Blue.

The SF_reporter.avi before the Non Red Key is applied. Notice the purple tone on her skin and hair.

The reporter after the Non Red Key has been applied. Her skin and hair now look just fine.
