Loading the Video Clip

This project uses just a single clip, undercoverbaby.avi, to create the effect. However, you will be using the clip twice, once as the base clip and once as the "pixelated" or blurred clip. For this task, we are bringing the video clip into Premiere Elements so that we can begin working on it.

Add the Video Clip to the Project

Start Premiere Elements and create a new project called hiddenid.

Click the Get Media from button on the Media panel to access the Get Media from view, if it's not already active.

Select DVD, Digital Camera, Mobile Phone, Hard Drive Camcorder, Card Reader.

When the Media Downloader displays, click the Advanced Dialog button to switch to Advanced mode.

Select the undercoverbaby.avi clip.

Click the Get Media button. Premiere Elements copies the undercoverbaby.avi clip from the DVD onto your hard drive and adds it to the Available Media for this project.
