Chapter 11. Layers in Dreamweaver
If you decide that a particular layer is no longer needed, you can easily delete inside of Dreamweaver. To delete a layer, select it and press the Delete or Backspace key on your keyboard. This effectively removes it from the document. You can also contextual click next to the layers, as shown in Figure 11.5, and choose Remove Tag <div> from the contextual menu. This technique is best used when only one layer is present in the document and you are using the <div> tag to create layers.
