Web Sites Worth Visiting

A staggering number of web sites provide information on storage, data protection, and security. Unfortunately, many are vendor sites, where the information must be taken with a grain of salt. They are, after all, trying to sell something. There are several very good reference sites, though.

SearchStorage.Com (www.searchstorage.com) provides news on the storage industry, as well as regular articles by independent analysts and consultants. The online glossary is also very good.

The ANSI T10 and T11 committees maintain web sites at www.t10.org and www.t11.org, respectively. There, you will find information regarding the ongoing work in the SCSI and Fibre Channel standards committees, draft documents of new or revised standards, and links to current standards documents.
