I have found the consulting life to be particularly rewarding. My expertise has been sought out and well rewarded. However, I want to give you a fair assessment as to what the consulting life entailssome of the perks and some of the pitfallsin hopes of providing a complete picture. With this complete picture clearly in view, you can decide whether consulting is for you.

I'm not going to spend too much time on the mechanics of the engagement, marketing techniques, or how to identify the hot, new trends in technology. These are important, to a degree. However, once again, I will defer to the myriad of books in libraries and bookstores that can assist you in these areas.
