Summary

In this chapter, we covered all the remaining options for sharing our video content. These are generally regarded as “niche” options, yet all remain quite useful under the right circumstances. We discussed the following three tools:

  • Batch Production. This time-saving utility has the power to produce multiple videos based on a given production preset. Additionally, you can produce a single video in more than one format, which is particularly handy when producing multiple-bandwidth versions of a given video for your audience.

  • Pack and Show. If you want to package your video into an executable file, you may do so with this tool. It works best for AVI files, where you can package the Camtasia Player and the video content into one file. Just keep in mind that most modern e-mail clients disallow executable (.exe) attachments.

  • Camtasia Player. A handy, no-frills AVI player. No installation required, as it doesn’t rely on any external libraries in order to function. It’s widely compatible and free of cost. Additionally, it won’t scale your content, dance with your date, or trump your ace lead. The TSCC codec is built directly into it.
