To create a summary slide or home page

  1. Click the Slide Sorter View button.

  2. On the Edit menu, click Select All to select all of the slides in the presentation.

  3. On the Slide Sorter toolbar, click the Summary Slide button.

To create a hyperlink

  1. Select the text or object you want to use as a hyperlink.

  2. On the Slide Show menu, click Action Settings .

  3. Select the Hyperlink to option.

  4. Click the down arrow to the right of the Hyperlink to box, and then click the item to which you want to link.

  5. Specify any other necessary hyperlink information, and click OK .

To insert a home Page Action button

  1. On the View menu, point to Master , and click Slide Master .

  2. On the Slide Show menu, point to Action Buttons . The Action Buttons submenu appears.

  3. Click the Action Buttons: Home button in the top row, second column.

  4. Position the cross-hair pointer in the lower-right corner of the slide.

  5. Drag the pointer to make the Home button appear.

  6. In the Action Settings dialog box, select any effects you want to apply to the action button, and then click OK .

  7. On the Slide Master View toolbar, click Close Master View .

To preview a presentation as a Web page

  • On the File menu, click Web Page Preview .

To save presentation graphics in PNG format

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options .

  2. Click the General tab, if necessary, and then click Web Options .

  3. Click the Browsers tab.

  4. Select the Allow PNG as a graphics format check box, if necessary.

  5. Click the General tab.

  6. Select the Add slide navigation controls check box (if necessary), click the down arrow to the right of the Colors box, and then click Presentation colors ( accent color ) .

  7. Select the Show slide animation while browsing check box.

  8. Click OK to close the Web Options dialog box, and then click OK to close the Options dialog box.

To save a presentation as a Web page

  1. On the File menu, click Save as Web Page .

  2. Type a name in the File name box.

  3. Navigate to the folder in which you want to save the presentation and click Publish .

  4. Select the Complete presentation option, if necessary, and then select the All browsers listed above (creates larger files) option.

  5. Clear the Open published Web page in browser check box, if necessary, and then click Publish .

To open a presentation in a Web browser

  1. On the Standard toolbar, click the Open button.

  2. Navigate to the folder that contains the presentation.

  3. In the folders and files list, click the presentation.

  4. Click the down arrow to the right of the Open button, and then click Open in Browser .

To create a Web presentation with the AutoContent Wizard

  1. On the Standard toolbar, click the New button, and then click From AutoContent Wizard in the New Presentation task pane.

  2. After reading the introduction, click Next .

  3. Select a presentation type, and then click Next .

  4. Select the Web presentation option, and then click Next .

  5. Type your presentation title, add information to the footer, if desired, and then click Next .

  6. Click Finish to create a Web presentation.
