This chapter focuses on features and functions of Program Neighborhood (PN), also referred to as the Citrix ICA Client. The primary purpose of Program Neighborhood is to connect client devices to MetaFrame servers or published applications. Program Neighborhood is designed to be device independent, that is, it provides connectivity for a variety of client devices and operating systems.
We will also be focusing on PN configuration and customization. We will learn the basic levels of the PN interface, as well as connectivity and client customization for specific applications. In addition, we'll cover what each view provides the user and the capabilities of each, and then learn the menu functions and toolbar buttons in detail.
Finally, we will discuss how to publish applications to specific or anonymous users, and see how application publishing affects the way users see published application sets.
