TWENTY-FIVE SEMINAR LEADERS , THE "BEST OF THE BEST"

These 25 AMA seminar leaders are a diverse and fascinating group of professionals. There are 13 men and 12 women. Respondents include old timers as well as newcomers, experienced trainers and instructional designers, as well as those whose experience comes primarily from fields of sales, technology, and management. Seminar leaders are culturally, racially, and age diverse. They are nationwide and come from all regions of the United States, from Puerto Rico, and from Ontario, Canada. Illinois is home to five of these seminar leaders, California is home to four, Florida is home to three, and New York is home to two. One seminar leader comes from each of these locations: District of Columbia (DC), Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Ontario, Canada and Puerto Rico. These 25 persons fairly represent the breadth and depth of expertise in AMA's Seminar Division.

These 25 Seminar Leaders are professors, entrepreneurs, coaches, and consultants ; CEOs, Managing Partners, and Presidents of entrepreneurial companies. They come from a wide variety of corporate, non-profit, and government management experience. They are board members , officers, volunteers, and contributors to professional associations through leadership positions , publications , and service. Many of the Seminar Leaders are well-known personalities on national and local radio and television, as conference leaders and keynote speakers , as regular contributors to professional journals, and as authors of training and management books. Among these 25 Seminar Leaders are authors of more than 60 books, including worldwide best-sellers in creativity and customer service. These 25 "Best of the Best" Seminar Leaders have presented seminars and workshops to thousands of trainees in countries around the world and on six continents. They have distinguished themselves as course designers as well as Seminar Leaders. In this group of 25 are 5 men and 4 women who have doctorate degrees and 5 men and 5 women who have MBA degrees. They are an impressive group of award winners and holders of professional certifications from a variety of organizations and associations.

Among them are: a former Israeli fighter pilot, a retired Navy Commander, a former police sergeant and security officer, a two- term town mayor, an athlete of national standing (#1 in women's squash), an attendee at the US Military Academy at West Point, two magicians, a gubernatorial campaign manager, a public affairs manager for a Chamber of Commerce, a former President of the National Speakers' Association, an actress, a father and son, a creative consultant who authenticates workplace scripts and scenes for TV and movies, one who serves the Sierra Club and the Cancer Research and Prevention Foundation, the first American woman to attend the Royal Navy Staff College, a practicing Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Puerto Rico, a professor at the French Management Institute and lecturer at Hong Kong University, a research fellow at Harvard University, a candidate evaluator for the University of Chicago's Graduate Business School, a feedback coach at The Center for Creative Leadership, a mediator for the American Arbitration Association, a six-year Chair of AMA's Annual Corporate Branding Conference, and the program facilitator for AMA's Presidents' Association.

Among the awards earned by these 25 seminar leaders are: Phi Beta Kappa, cum laude, an "IMMIE" award for volunteer service with physically challenged athletes , commencement speaker and recipient of the Annual Distinguished Teaching Award at Northwestern University, Master Trainer (one of seven persons worldwide) designation by T raining & D evelopment M agazine (ASTD), Professor of the Year Award from Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey, Who's Who, Personalities of the West, Biographical Role of Honor, Who's Who in Management Among University Professors, Teaching Excellence Award at Florida International University, Consultant of the Year by International Training and Development Federation (ITDF), one of I-S treet M agazine's Top 25 Women in Technology, International Who's Who of Entrepreneurs, and a nominee for W orking W oman 's Entrepreneur of the Year.
