I would be remiss if I did not take a brief detour from hands-on, how-to material and venture into some other Adobe graphics-creation products used in video production.

Photoshop is the de facto image-editing industry standard bearer. If you aspire to professional video production status, Photoshop is a must.

An inexpensive means to ease into the Photoshop graphics-creation and photo-retouching world is with its "lite" sibling, Photoshop Elements.

Finally, Adobe Illustrator has a narrower, more print- and Web-oriented vector graphics approach, but it too is a useful tool for a video production professional.
