Saving and Quitting

Any changes you make to your Final Cut Express project can be saved. Even though you did not make any edits in this lesson, you changed how the Timeline was viewed. Saving the project at this point will save your current Timeline configuration and even the playhead position in the sequence.

1.	Press Cmd-S to save the current project.
2.	Choose File > Close Project if you want to close this project. Note If you want to keep working on this project the next time you open Final Cut Express, don't close the project prior to quitting the program. That way, it will open automatically the next time you launch the program. But if you are finished with the project, you can close it first and then quit the program.
3.	Press Cmd-Q to quit Final Cut Express, or leave the program open and continue on to the next lesson.
