create a blank layout

All new layouts (other than duplicates) begin in the New Layout/Report wizard. Because this layout has so few elements, we'll create it by handstarting with a blank layout.

Choose View > Layout Mode. (You must be in Layout mode when creating or modifying a layout.)

Choose Layouts > New Layout/Report (/). The New Layout/Report wizard appears.

Select options, as follows:

Show records from: Main Layout Name: Account List Layout type: Blank layout

Remove the check mark from Include in layout menus, and then click Finish.

A blank layout with Header, Body, and Footer parts appears.

In this layout, we'll only need the Header and Body parts. The Header will contain the layout title and field names; the Body will show the records.

The Footer part is removed from the blank layout.
