The Album Creation wizard creates inappropriate footers and page numbers for a bound book. In a bound album, the title pagea right-hand pageis really the book's first page, but the wizard doesn't number it. The wizard starts numbering with 1 on the first left-hand page. Odd numbers wind up on left-hand pages, evens on the right. Footers always appear in the lower-left corner of a page, page numbers in the lower-right corner. In a professionally designed book, on left-hand pages the numbers are even and appear in the lower-left corner. You can't edit the default page numbers in the Album Creation wizard, but you can add your own as additional text. You must then remove the default numbers. Select the text and position the pointer over a corner resize handle. Drag to resize the box to show just the number. Position the pointer over the text box; drag the box until it covers the default page number. To fix page numbers and footers on right-hand pages, repeat Steps 1 through 7 of this task. The footer is already in the correct spot; you can skip Steps 8 and 9. It's time to remove the default numbers. You must return to Step 1 of the wizard. |
