For Further Review

The fact that software engineering is accepted differently by different groups of practitioners is illustrated also by the industry perspective versus academia s perspective on what should be taught in software engineering programs. Indeed, many discussions address this issue. This topic is also discussed in Chapter 18, Remarks about Software Engineering Education. Review the different resources presented in Chapter 18 and suggest topics related to software engineering education with respect to which academia and industry may have different perspectives. Suggest ways these gaps can be bridged.
