20.5 What Have We Learned?

 < Day Day Up >

Items covered in this lesson include:

  • Setting up a printer/plotter

  • Setting up a Plot Style

  • Setting up a drawing page

  • An Introduction to the Batch Plot Utility

  • Creating an eTransmittal

  • Creating a DWF file

  • Adding hyperlinks to a drawing

  • Creating a web page through AutoCAD

  • AutoCAD plot commands:

    • Plotmanager

    • Stylesmanager

    • Pagesetup

    • Plot & Print

    • Browser

    • Hyperlink

    • PublishToWeb

    • Publish

    • eTransmit

While printing itself isn't difficult, this lesson also dealt with setting up printers and plotters, AutoCAD, and AutoCAD drawings so that they can all work together to put your work on paper (or share it electronically). I strongly suggest printing at least two of the assignments for each of the lessons you'll complete throughout the remainder of this text. Then, when you've finished the course, review this lesson once again. After all, you really can't roll up the PC and stick it in your tool belt down at the job site. Your drawings must, eventually, be put on paper.
