Applying Crypto Maps to Interfaces

IPSec is not activated until you apply a crypto map to a router's interface. The command syntax to apply a crypto map is

 Router(config-if)# crypto map  map-name  

To apply the crypto map named NASHVILLE , simply issue the following command:

 Router(config-if)# crypto map NASHVILLE 

It is worth stating again : You can apply only a single crypto map to an interface. However, you can use the same crypto map on multiple interfaces.
