1. The Event Viewer should always be your first stop for checking on your servers as it offers a concise and fairly easy-to-read historical view of what has occurred on a server.

2. Server monitors, created during installation, are used to monitor the status of specified services and usage of resources on servers. Connection status monitors are used to monitor the status of a connector object between servers.
