Summary

In this chapter, you learned more about entity customization, with a focus on forms and views. Each customizable entity has a form that you can customize by adding fields, tabs, and sections. You also learned how to use the form and field events, onLoad, onSave, and onChange, to add more advanced customizations with scripts. We also went into the details and benefits of adding an IFrame to the form of an entity.

We then reviewed each of the view types that Microsoft CRM uses to display data throughout the system. We covered what each of the system-defined views does, and how you can customize the views to show only the data that you want. Finally, we explained some of the nuances related to activity customization, such as the activity views and attributes.
