Overview

In corporate environments where Windows domains are used, Windows 2000 Server computers running various types of software provide Internet access and firewall protection from malicious Internet users. However, in many networking environments, Windows 2000 Server is not practical or available. In fact, you may work in such an environment. In home networks and most small office networks, 20 or more computers may be in use without a centralized server.
