Biography

Rick Bergquist, senior vice president, chief technology officer, Technology and Applications Strategy, is responsible for PeopleSoft's long-term technology vision. In this position, he is responsible for identifying new technologies for deployment within PeopleSoft products in areas such as the Internet, data warehousing, knowledge management, and object-oriented technology.

At PeopleSoft, Mr. Bergquist was one of the original PeopleTools developers and has previously managed the PeopleTools development and strategy teams.

Before joining PeopleSoft, Mr. Bergquist was with American Management Systems, Inc., most recently as a senior principal in the product development group. While at AMS, he supervised the development of the company's application packages for retail banking.

Mr. Bergquist completed the Program for Management Development at the Harvard School of Business, and he holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from California Polytechnic State University.
