Goals of this Book

The primary goal of this book is to provide a practical understanding of how to configure and support Cisco Catalyst switches. The CCNP certification provides you with the theoretical knowledge required to implement local-area networks (LAN) networks; however, it is important that when it comes to the crunch and you need to configure or troubleshoot a real-life network, you have the practical experience, knowledge, and confidence to respond quickly and effectively.
