ApSniff is a wireless access point sniffer that runs on Windows 2000 systems.

APTools

APTools is an excellent sniffing tool for detecting rogue access points. APTools is available for Windows 2000 or Unix systems.

Internet Security Systems

ISS is the developer of the personal firewall BlackIce, available for Windows OS systems.

McAfee

McAfee is the developer of antivirus and security-related applications, including VirusScan, and Personal Firewall Plus.

Netstumbler

Network Stumbler is the most popular stumbler application for Windows 2000/XP. The site also hosts Mini-Stumbler, a stumbler application for Pocket PC devices.

Symantec

Founded in 1982, Symantec is the leader in antivirus and information security software. Symantec produces the Norton brand of consumer security products, including Norton Anti-Virus, Norton Personal Firewall, and other utilities.

ZoneLabs

ZoneLabs produces ZoneAlarm, one of the easiest-to-use and most effective personal firewalls available. If you don’t have an integrated firewall on your router or access point, I recommend that you install this product.
