The repository is a major new feature in Crystal Reports 9. It adds to the product something report developers have had on their wish list for a long time: a central place to store reusable report objects. Crystal Reports ships with a default sample Microsoft Access database to use as the repository; this is ready to use directly after installing Crystal Reports. You can add, delete, and modify objects in the repository. When an object is modified, all reports that use the object will automatically have the opportunity to inherit the modification the next time the report is opened. The repository can be moved from its default location or replaced with a different type of ODBC database, allowing maximum flexibility to an organization.
