Crystal Enterprise provides a report-management and web-based distribution application. Using Crystal Enterprise, you can schedule, archive, secure, and distribute reports to a small or large group of users. The services on the Crystal Enterprise server—APS, Event Server, WCS, Job Server, Page Server, and Cache Server—all provide functionality to manage the Crystal Reports. These Crystal Enterprise services can be installed on a single server or on multiple servers to allow for growth and fault tolerance.

Crystal Enterprise provides ePortfolio, an end-user web-based sample application that can be used to view and schedule reports. Crystal Enterprise also provides management tools such as the Crystal Management Console and Crystal Configuration Manager so administrators can administer the environment.

The Crystal Enterprise environment can also be programmed and its services can be used in custom applications.
