Based on the AVVID infrastructure, the CiscoWorks QoS Policy Manager (QPM) provides centralized monitoring of QoS, policy control, and automated policy deployment. While QoS solutions are associated with 24X7 network availability, consistent performance, and reduced network downtime, QPM provides predefined policies for measuring system performance based on these policies. It enables you to set thresholds that generate alerts each time there is violation of a policy.
