Windows Journal

For most people, Windows Journal is the application they use most often on their Tablet PC. The following tidbits are the few main points to understand about Windows Journal (see Figure B.1).

Export Notes

To export a Journal note, go to File, then Export As. You are given a choice as to the name you want to use to save the note, as well as to the file format MHT or TIF. The file type you choose depends on what is easiest for your recipient to use. MHT is usually the best choice.

Using Templates

To use a template, tap File, New Note from Template, then select the template you want to use.

Setting a Template as Default

To set a default template, tap Tools, Options and select the template you want to use from the Stationery area of the Note Format tab. You can also create stationery to use as the default template.
