Using the Translation feature, you can translate a word from one language to another using language dictionaries installed on your computer.

If you are connected to the Internet, the Translation feature will search the dictionaries on your computer as well as online dictionaries.

No results were found when I tried to translate a word; what should I do?

Scroll down in the Research pane. You will find that Word suggests a variety of alternative spellings for the word you tried to translate. If none of them is correct, scroll further; you can try searching All Reference Books and All Research Sites by clicking their links.

Can the Translation feature translate my entire document? Yes and no. While the feature is capable of fairly complex translations, it may not grasp the tone or meaning of your text. You can send the document over the Internet for translation, but be aware that Word sends documents as unencrypted HTML files. If security is an issue, do not choose this route; instead, consider hiring a professional translator.
