Summary

In this chapter, you learned about colors and how they're used in computers. You learned that visible light is just a small segment of the electromagnetic spectrum. You learned about the epsilon and why you remove the alpha component and use 24-bit color modes. You developed a robust class that will be used in all your future applications. You can output color information to a medium to create an image, analogous to an artist who uses oil painting on a canvas. The color class with its member methods is like your virtual crayon box. You now have some basic knowledge to build the core layers for photon mapping.
