ADOPTION MODEL

The Web services adoption model identifies four phases of Web services adopton: integration, collaboration, innovation, and domination. Each phase builds on the previous phases as organizations gain the requisite skills and experience and as standards gain acceptance and the maturity to enable the transition to the next phase. Figure 3.1 illustrates the time frames that are expected for each phase of the Web services adoption model.
