Extreme Programming

This chapter assumes a working knowledge of standard Extreme Programming concepts. We therefore do not explain the various aspects of XP. Good references can be found in [Beck2000; Jeffries+2001; Beck+2001].

XP is designed to address the specific needs of software development conducted by small teams. It is less well understood how it applies to large systems development. The ideas described in this chapter are an attempt to integrate one well-known technique for this with XP.
