Points to Remember

Sound is probably the most neglected area of Flash game design. Between hatching a game idea, creating the graphical assets, programming, and debugging, it's not surprising that not much time is devoted to finding or making the perfect sounds. Sound effects and music add a lot to a game much more than you may realize. Sounds can connect with a person on an emotional level and invoke fear, excitement, surprise, sadness, or playfulness. Used properly, sound effects and music can make a good game extraordinary. In this chapter we discuss sound effects and music loops how to make them, and why sound should not be neglected in your games.
