OR mapping affords the ability to hide data access completely from your application and greatly simplify the front-end code you write for your application. It allows you to write all of your data access logic once and allows significantly increased flexibility in your system.

In the next chapter, you'll look at how to use these mapped objects with ASP.NET widgets such as DataGrids. You'll also look at some additions to the performance end of your data model and implement a high-performance caching mechanism.
